You know, if people don't open my newsletter for 90 days straight, I unsubscribe them.
Maybe the same concept should be done on a forum.
It would let you know who your REAL members are!
Quick admin work can be fairly easy... Approving/rejecting new members, moderation, etc.
Creating categories, nodes, and stuff like that would be a pain in the ass
I try to have an informal plan, as well.
I give the forum a year to see if it will be a good idea or not.
Then. I usually plan 3-5 years ahead of that.
Profit isn't that big in the picture right now, though.
Have any of you ever designed your forum or blog theme using AI?
If so, please share a screenshot or link to it. I'm curious to see what people can do with AI in terms of designing themes for forums and blogs.
Do you think it's a breakthrough to be able to do this with AI?
Has forum software actually improved over the past 10 years?
Ask yourself this question:
Has the forum software you use really been improved over the past several years?
Or, ask yourself this:
Or has it all been fluff improvement that have really provided nothing worth writing home about...
Do you ever use gatekeeping as a way to increase membership?
Gatekeeping is allowing guests to read a portion of the post but then prompting them to join or login to read the rest.
If you do it right, it shouldn't be much of an SEO impact, and it might encourage new members.
What do you all...
Should a forum admin admit when they make a mistake?
Or would that weaken their authority and expertise?
I'm talking about mistakes like moderation/banning, and stuff like that which may have a pretty negative impact.
