How often should forum staff visit and post (not the owner)?

Do you require your moderators and other staff to sustain a certain activity?

What do you think the standard should be?

You can't be a ghost or inactive staff. It's not going to encourage others (normal members) to be active on the forum.

If you decide to be on a forum's staff team, you should be willing to commit. It doesn't matter if you're paid or not, you should at least show up online 3x in a week and make some posts.

I agree.

You should at least try to post some each day you visit rather than visit and run.

Exactly! I can't understand it when a staff member comes online, check so many things and go off without doing anything especially when there's a task on ground.

I had an experience last year in Bizdustry when I was the forum's Moderator Team Leader. There was a problem all staffs was asked to help fix which was moving threads from one section to their right section. I was tasked with overseeing how that's been done.

I made a plea to all staff members to try and move at least 10 threads everyday they come online. I didn't say do it every day but only when they come online. If they come online only once in a week, I expect them to move only 10 threads in that week.

Do you know that the forum owner turned around and sided with his co-admin who also had his lover in the forum on the staff team who can't work as a mod. The co-admin was angry I was trying push his lover too much to work. It was a long story. In the end, Bizdustry owner Alex gave his co-admin Hulk the permission to demote me from being the Team Leader Moderator because I was tasking his lover to work whenever he comes online.

It was a crazy experience for me on Bizdustry.
