What's your thoughts on unique/human generated content vs AI content?

I'm always going to prefer unique content that's written by humans, and I strongly believe it's better for SEO.
It's way better for SEO.

Even most search engines have admitted that human created content will rank better than AI-generated.

No one wants to expect a human to give them info and get it from a robot.

Do you ever call the doctor and get a robot? It sucks. It's the same with the internet in my opinion.

In most cases, it is easy to tell. Human-generated, nicely written content stands out and is easily readable. It does helps with SEO as well.

It's mainly easy to tell because the "voice" of the writer changes.

If you read enough of their content before GPT hit the big screen and then see a dramatic change after GPT, then you'll know they're using AI to write their content.

I have an AI bot active on General Forums - Where People Converse. It will respond to any @ mention and has it's own forum where it will reply to every thread. So far the posts from it are very good. It is still learning so I expect it to get better.

I am building a support bot to use on my tech sites for when staff is not available.

This is interesting stuff for sure.

What powered your bot? Is it an addon?

I never tried the AI tools that come with Discourse. Not many forums that I visit (using Discourse) have added that feature.

It's part of Discourse. They introduced a whole suite of AI tools. I have a bot running that checks for spam. It works very well.
AI being used to counter spam is IMO one of the best innovations. I have an AI on my very large Facebook Group that does a better anti-spam campaign than anything else I've seen.

Just saw your sig @AWS

Always loved Discourse as a software.

Wondering whether the Blue outline around the text is intentional.

At the top it is.

I ran a tech site on Discourse years ago. Had a million posts and couple hundred thousand users. Very active site. I got sick and shut it down. I didn't save it so everything was lost. Wish I had.

I always liked Discourse. It's much easier to admin now than it was. I don't know why I didn't go back to it when I got back in the game. At least I am now.

I took the liberty of playing with the text element a bit

I don't about other people but reading an AI generated content is very painful for my eyes and aches my head. It's why I don't like it in any way. It's only a lazy person that will always be interested in using AI generated contents to reply in forum's discussions.
