Banning Power for Moderators

Can a moderator on your forum ban another member?

Moderators are typically second-level staff members on forums under administrators.

When it comes to banning, there are multiple types of bans -- permeant, temporary, or feature-specific.

Do you enable your moderators to perform different types of bans? Can they ban a member for life? How about a fellow staff member - can a moderator ban a moderator?

Yes they can. I trust them to make the correct judgement. But nowadays, we don't need to do much banning - other than spammers.

Not really. Like I said, we haven't had much banning to do. Most toxic people are on Facebook nowadays.

I won't argue that.

I have a group on there with nearly 50K members. I've seen way worse in the 6 years that the group has been around than in 25+ years on forums.
