Your forum niche should be a topic that you're passionate about.

If you truly want to dominate in your niche, it should be a topic that you're passionate about because then you'll be motivated to grow your expertise in that niche.

How passionate are you in your niche?

How have you made yourself an expert? What are you doing every day to become more and more of an expert?
 
I’m quite passionated about my forum as I originally started it as a directory of games, then morphed it into a community.

I’ve been playing the games in my niche for years and have also helped out on some by being their content manager. Which helped me become an expert of my community. I know how to run them as well.

Building them with new ideas has also helped me on some grounds as game owners come to me for ideas and feedback.

I read a lot of come up with new concepts and ideas through the various books that I read.

Do you ever get to collaborate with game owners? I feel like a community like yours and your passion should make that very easy!

I have in the past. I had links on various games in their footer.

I also worked on a few games in the past as their lead content manager and helped them develop the game further. I worked on 4 different games and still help games out to till this day with new ideas & concepts.
