Do you have a Facebook Group?

I recently made a facebook group to go along with my page. It currently has 25 members. It’s really not that active just yet. However, it’s a place where users can discuss funny content, inspiring or motivational content.

If you keep it to native content (little to no promotional posts), then it has the ability to grow significantly. I did that from the start and mine is about to break 50,000 members. We get at least 100 new members a day, real people, too. But we get spammers, as well. But here lately it seems not as much - maybe Facebook is getting better at stopping them.

Not a group.. but I do have a page.

I find a page more conducive to a forum than a group would be. The group would probably be better served by a blog.
And I really need to spend more time pushing content to my page.. I honestly simply forget about it regularly.

That’s exactly the route that I’m going with. It’s tied directly to my page and I funnel some things from the page itself, but not all. I generally post unique things in the group that aren’t originally on my page itself. I have a couple of active members so far, but the niche is pretty big and competitive, so it’ll take me a while to grow it.

There’s some private groups and public ones.

Also, for groups and pages, Facebook has been making it difficult to add external links to main posts.

There is a work-around that Facebook has even recommended.

I do this with my YouTube videos:

1. Upload the thumbnail as the post's image
2. Put a short persuasive caption for it and then a sentence that says "Video link in comments"
3. Publish the post and immediately put in the link in the comments

Doing this method, I've seen for likes, engagement, shares, and a better CTR for the video from Facebook.

For now, until they change things again, this is a working method of promotion external links on Facebook.

I'm going to see if it works on X, as well.
