Do you or would you allow a member to have more than one account on your forum?

A need for more than one forum account might actually be practical. For example, if a husband and wife both like your forum and both want to be a part of it, they might each make an account from the same computer. It will most likely activate any sort of alarm that a double account is present.

Is that something you would allow?

How about if a moderator wanted their moderator account and then a regular member account to post with? This wouldn't be of the norm, but I bet it has happened at least a few times in forum history.

How do you feel about those who wish to have more than one forum account?

I don't allow multiple accounts per user. If I see a user with two accounts, I'll politely ask them which account they'd like to use. I'll either merge them together or delete the other account that they don't want to use.

If it's a wife and husband, I don't have an issue with that. My forum is family-friendly.

I agree with what you have to say.

Multiple accounts per household members is fine as long as they tell me what's going on.

But one person having more than one account just doesn't make any sense other than using them for abuse.
