Was looking at buying XF site back from friend.. but

I think we should redefine what a Big Board is nowadays. We are the ones continuing the forum-reign, right? So, I think we have the right to, haha.
That’s correct. If a big board is 100k posts and over 5k members, then I’m pretty sure one of us will hit it within the next few years.
My forum is currently at 30k posts. It had 4k posts last May.

Roflmao also has 32k+ posts.

To me, as long as traffic continues to climb, new posts keep rolling in and new members keep joining, we’re doing a great job as forum owners.

You looking to sell?

Kidding! :p
Nope.

I'm out of the selling game.

If forums don't work out, I will just shut them down.

But the bigger goals have been replace by smaller ones.

The goal isn't to grow this forum big, it's just to keep it active like it is today and let it grow on its own if that is the route it takes :)

Invision seems nice but aside from @Cedric forum, what other forum out there is utilizing it to it's fullest and is an active forum or big board? Most big boards are either VB (older versions), XF, or custom software.
Uncrowned Guard is a guy I know that have been using Invision way back even before Cedric started using it. His two forums - Uncrowned Gaming and Uncrowned Addiction uses it. Aragon Burner started using it newly for his Paranormal forum and Elseb who runs a Ps5SmackDown forum uses it at well.

You know, I know that you all have issues with XenForo or at least the developers.

I don't. I get along with them all pretty well. But I don't really have any reasons not to. I'm satisfied with what I have been given. That's not to say that you don't have your right to be upset but for what I need XF for, I'm getting it.

However, I'm not too shocked if they don't get these bigger releases out because who is?

All the free platforms are definitely not going bigger these days. VB6 is updating but nothing that major. There is still a lot of improvement that should be done now instead of what they've been releasing.

I guess my biggest concern or statement here is who else is really doing any better than XF in the forum world these days?
PS5SMackdown uses Invision along with VGR forums.

There isn't too many admin/webmaster forums that uses Invision.

However, Squarespace seems to be using it. They're pretty big.

Yeah, I forgot about VGR there. It's the biggest gaming forum I know that is making use of Invision software.

I haven't used Squarespace before but I'm going to have them checked out.
