To me, gaming seems like it's the most saturated forum niche out there.

I've seen more gaming forums than any other type of forum.

Gaming seems like a saturated niche. Unless you really narrow it down to something specific, I feel like it would be the hardest niche to run a forum on.

What do you all think? I'm especially interested in seeing what gaming forum owners think!

Yes, gaming is indeed a very saturated niche because there are so many of them out there. It does go a long way to prove how much people take up gaming as their hobby.

But in everything, that doesn't mean a gaming forum can't be successful too. It all depends on how much the admin/owner is willing to push it.

I think you're right.

Gaming is a very saturated niche. However, it all depends on the admin and staff motivating members to be active. Gaming is popular enough for a forum about it to become popular, but it's going to take an active forum owners and staff members to get it there.

Most gaming forums likely fail because the admin and staff aren't active enough.

I don’t think its niche, I think its over saturated.

However specific games like COD could stand test of time if site fully kitted out as a new game comes out every year so always a reason to come back.

I’d say it depends on what type of game you’re covering. You have many sub niche inside the gaming itself and games. It is a broad industry with a ton of games. It is oversaturated, but you can still succeed in the niche with the right amount of effort, time and hardwork.

I think narrowing down the gaming niche would be ideal.

But I also think you need to really get as involved in the game as you can. Be known by others in the game. Be an influencer if you can do it.

I watch a guy on YouTube, James Turner, who is a Sims 4 influencer. He could launch a Sims 4 forum today and I bet it would be loaded with members.
