What's your forum CTA?

A CTA is a Call-to-Action. It doesn't have to relate to finance at all. In fact, in most cases, for a forum, your CTA would be something like joining the forum or making a post.

But the CTA is more than a join button. It's the copy (persuasive wording) that you input on your registration notice or welcome PM/email.

Do you ensure that you have a CTA or do you just use whatever is default and hope that works?

Simple CTAs work best. Using it beats any kind of fancy banners. You don't need to force it because if you do, people will bounce.

Using strong words that can be of help in taking action is a good idea. It can be as simple as “Sign up for a newsletter.” You can explain what members can get for free so there is a higher chance that they will click the CTA button.
