For established forums with members who create content regularly, how often do you (the forum founder) create new threads on the forum?

Does something have to happen for you to create new content such as a slowdown, x-x-number of days without a new thread, or something similar?

Do you think forum owners should be posting new threads every day? Or is there such thing as the forum owner posting too much?

I try to post every day from Monday to Friday, at least 3 times a day at different times, both to maintain an active forum presence and to show that I'm also active in the forum; it's always advisable to do so.

That's about how I do it.

I unplug on the weekends so I don't post as much. I think that's an important thing to do. I remember when I wanted to stay at home and just post on the forum. It became overwhelming, burnt out, and not so fun.

I have always struggled with creating topics. I mostly focus on the news and guide sections of my sites, and when something pops up that would make a good topic, I run with it. Otherwise, I am mostly trying to reply to topics as much as possible.
Here's a little tactic I like to do:

Filter your main niche boards to show content with the most replies.

Those posts are your popular posts.

Then create new topics based on those similar subjects.

If you're low on inspiration, you can have AI suggest new topics. Nothing wrong with that as long as you write it in your own words to keep it using your recognizable voice.

Create a spreadsheet with all these post ideas on them so you don't run out of anything :)

Those are certainly good tips. I do love to schedule topics for release down the road.
