SEO Search Traffic vs. Community Loyalty

So, unless you're devoted to posting at those places, reply less in an effort to get people to your community to engage with you. Maybe that will work, too. :)

How often do you make new posts?

That's not a bad idea. By doing that, you can ensure you're active each day. Create new topics one day, reply to topics the next day, and repeat. That is a great strategy for keeping the admin busy. Too many admins are too quiet. I sort of get tired on being active on forums that expect the...

    Hiding forum statistics

It's been pretty nice killing the habit of looking at the stats. I don't even miss them anymore. It actually opens my creative side up and gives me less worry. I don't have to care about what numbers we have on the forums, anymore.

Should forum owners also have a blog associated with their forum? or... Should bloggers also have a forum associated with their blog? Do you think one contradicts the other when they're both about the same thing and are meant to cross-promote each other? Or do you think it's a good idea?

SEO Search Traffic vs. Community Loyalty

Are people commenting on your blog by chance? If they are, turn your comments off and post a topic on your forum that links to the blog post with maybe a quote of the post on the forum and then welcome comments there. Put on your blog, to comment, go to the forum :)

    Forums that Help Forum Owners

Yeah. And it's even worse on social media. Because of how the algorithm doesn't let you see your friends all the time and keeps wanting you to see new things, you miss things. A friend of mine had died in a car accident and I didn't know about it until about a year after. He was an online...

Blog Marketing Turning headings into questions (AI SEO)

SEO is changing for us bloggers, as we know! The AI snippets are really impacting question-based search intent which is like almost all search intent these days. If our content gets into the sources of the AI snippet at the top of SERPs, then it will help us in terms of SEO. I think we need...

vBulletin If vBulletin had a better style...

I have two vBulletin 6 licenses. I have two forums on them. The forums and the features are great but the styles kind of suck. I really think if they worked on a new style structure, and modernized it a bit more, then it would dramatically make the forum software so much better. What do you...

Forum gamification looks great! Credits, quests, awards, leaderboards, etc. But is all that paying off on forums that use it? I mean, seriously, is it making forums more popular and more active? Or is it turning into just plain hype? What do you all think?

When content creations become a burden!

You can also use Google Search. Type in a keyword and look at all the auto complete suggestions. Hit search and look at the People Also Ask section. AI does make it easier but there are other alternatives around but then again, most of them will be (if not already) powered by AI soon.
