    I've only went with a few paid posters. One in particular is good and he's a friend, so I will support him when I can. But if I see low quality content coming from people trying to sell post packages, I usually won't even give them the time.

I actually quit paying for the pro account recently and have taken a break from it. I was using it too...

    I have about 20 to 30 a day on my cycling forum. They never get past the moderation que but some link somewhere is drawing them in. I don't have that issue on any other forum I run.

    That doesn't look bad. What is discouraging me is when they type a post like this one (like my original topic above) but the whole thing is obviously AI. And then their responses are AI. Then you feel like you're talking to a robot at that point.

    It used to make me want to quit but I feel like spam prevent has really improved since the early forum days.

    I think I was 13 when I got into the internet but forums weren't a thing for me until late 90s and around 2000 when phpBB launched. I used the first version briefly and then v2 came out and I went to it. I remember using some sort of threaded forum before that, though. Just can't remember which...
