    Anything else besides WordPress?

    I’ve tried blogger (aka blogspot) and Tumblr. The benefit is an existing community rather than having to generate 100% of your own traffic.

    I see no benefit in hosting directly through Wordpress.com. Self hosting gives you significantly more freedom and with the Jetpack plug-in you get pretty much all the benefits of the dotcom option.

    How much sleep do you get?

    Less & less as I grow older. I’m usually, now, in bed between 11pm & midnight and then up at 5am. I’ll sleep when I’m dead. Maybe, subconsciously, I’m aware of my mortality and want to get the most possible time out of the life I have left.
