    I would think so. I do recognize that because I'm discussing software, it is prone to change. I just think about the number of times certain social media sites have changed their layout and things have to be done differently.     There's the official hosting they provide like wordpress.com, but it is open-source so you can download the software and run it on a server, like WordPress. The requirements to run Ghost, from my understanding, requires a server with more resources then what you would need to run WordPress...

    The blog I have going now is casual and discusses my personal experiences with tech and software, so it's personal in that regard. :giggle: I thought about adding a personal section where I talk about my day-to-day but maybe that could be it's own blog.

    Why do some bloggers shut off comments?

    It seems like it might be a spam thing, though as you mentioned it would be better to have protection there than just shutting it off. For my upcoming blog, I was planning on having comments and even encouraging discussion.

    I'm still thinking about what categories to add, but what I plan to post on my blog (tech/software related) includes my insights/experiences with something, a guide/tutorial, and reviews. So far the posts I've done are insights and experiences with different software and tech.

    I tried out Ghost before and I enjoyed the simplicity of it. It's not as extensible as WordPress but it can get the job done.

    I either use free ones that are available or I generate them using AI. If it's something simple, I try making it instead.

    There are a bunch of blogs I read that are still going strong even after being around for a while. And as you mentioned, whenever I look something up a blog usually comes up right away.
