    My best forum moment thus far was when we hit 10k posts. However, we’re now nearing 20k posts! I’m very proud of my community! It’s also exciting that we’re getting close to hitting the 1k member milestone as well!

    Index Now

    I think it’s helpful as the search engines can crawl and index your content a lot faster. Just like if you have your sitemap enabled and listed on the search engines. Also, if you have your rss feed enabled it helps as well. They do crawl your content from both the rss feed and sitemap.

    It depends on what type of feedback it is. I had someone suggest that I implement a sports section on my forum when it’s a gaming forum. I didn’t see a point of implementing a sports section, so I thanked the user for their feedback and turned their suggestion down.

    I think Discourse and Nodebb along with Invision Community compare to Xenforo. I like the things that they’ve all been doing lately. I’m a fan of Xenforo, but I also keep tabs on other forum software as well.

    HostGator

    Hostgator was actually one of my first hosting providers and their support team was garbage. They took forever to respond to support tickets as well. I’ll never use them again.
