If I am doing it just to support their efforts, I wouldn't actually be expecting much from them because I know they probably wouldn't have much to offer me but simply because I believe in their projects and that is the reason why I decide to support them.
Enough of all these nonsense. They shouldn't be saying another thing while doing something different. They should fix the damn AI from always asking me to login and giving me Oops response.
He was talking about not having time to manage it with his work. I can't remember the guy's name he sold it to. The guy wasn't a serious human being at all. There was about 6 pending orders when he abandoned the project.
The last time I spoke with Devin was November last year.
They are very good to the best of my knowledge because when your active members slacks in adding new threads, your rss feeds will do a very good job of it.
Ray or Conrad will be somewhere looking at you with side eyes on why you wouldn't add a sports sub section in your forum because that's his favourite subject to talk about 😂 😂
I've been trying to get into using Tumblr for a while but can't just make it into the site. As for Reddit, I'm always there on daily basis.
Which sub did you promote VPL on Reddit?
There are some people who don't know when they are overdoing things which makes the general overview of the forum looks ugly to begin with. I find it very difficult using that kind of community because it is going to be very difficult for me to navigate through the whole sections.
Exactly! Any forum owner who decides not to take such a thing serious and handle it with utmost care is definitely showing that he or she doesn't care about the implication of not vetting their staff members is going to have on the future run of their community.
I hope that the rest of new guys who are going to set up their forums with XenForo and other forum software like phpbb because I'm currently in a forum it happens get it right or they'll keep losing someone like me.
You mean allowing those they merged with to leave if they don't want to be part of it anymore? If that's the case, unfortunately that's not on the table because the owner actually bought them out. They have been fully absorbed by Admin-junkies.com 100%.
Admin-junkies.com is the forum which I'm currently using that have over 1 million posts. Although, it's as a result of merged a lot of other forum's database with it. The last forum's database they merged was Bizdustry and Index Forum.
Postloop was fun back in the days. I enjoyed it so much and I was very close to the owner running it back then. Her name was Berverly. It was a big shame they had sell Postloop and that was the end of it. She continued with Seoclerks after moving on from Postloop.
Posts exchanges is a perfect way to add more contents to yours forum without paying for it. If you have an ongoing arrangement to keep the post exchange going on for a long time, it's more like having a constant activity on your forum. It's better than just a one-time off post contract.
It's not a good practice in my opinion because that's like encouraging your members to start creating old topics all over again.
Bumping the older topics is the best thing to do. It's going bring it up for members to see it again and possibly engage in it again.
Yes of course! I would definitely take up such arrangement as long as the benefits I'm going to get is worth what I'm going to be paying for it. Also, the information better not be what I can easily get for free on YouTube.
If I'm on a paid plan as a forum members, if the forum had ads, I would expect my account to be ads free because I'm paying to support the community.
Also, if there's a mature board section, I would love to have access to it as well as being able to customise my user name to my liking.
It looks like they are looking for a way to potentially screw website owners and hurt their SEO. I don't see how this benefits websites owners on the long run.
It's not actually my own forum but one I helped a friend of mine Devin Dfarmer built. The forum's name was Posting Bay. The idea behind the forum was to build something similar to The Forum Wheel if you remembered that site. It's still up but no longer active like it used to be.
