    You're doing it right. As long as they are not bad on other forums, giving them benefit of the doubt to do well in your own forum isn't bad. If they decide to throw it all away, then cutting them off early is the right thing to do.

    Damn! It would have been very difficult for you to get over such a mistake because when you remember everything you've invested and lost, it's going to be very frustrated. This is capable of making someone lose interest in running forums completely.

    It's never really a good idea because I've seen it a lot of time with some niche forums where most of the discussions now switch to the off topic section more than the forum's main area. It can be a serious distraction in the forum.
