Same. I have gerd as well. I take 40mg of nexium daily for mine.
Have you ever tried the keuriq coffee? It’s one of my favorites. There’s one brand that’s fully roasted and extra strong. It is really strong but so good!😂
I'm actually the same way as is my mom. I guess I get it from her. She can literally have a full cup of coffee and then pass right out whenever she's ready to go to sleep.
Coffee doesn't do this to me either, I can drink it at night and still knock out when I'm ready. I feel at my best when i...
I'm in the same boat as you. I'd rather tinker with things and learn more. I wasn't much of a server admin before, but I've been learning more over the past few months. I prefer to have my own environment and self host things.
It gives me the opportunity to keep my sites faster, optimize what I...
Thank you, bud, that truly means a lot. As long as we keep leading the way, new owners will have paths to follow and lessons to learn from.
It’s been great that we learned through trial and error and all the experiences over the years. The forum world definitely stays better with leaders like...
Most of the time it’s beginners that go straight and use their hosting plans as they don’t know about better options. All they know is wordpress.
I can get a vps with better specs and more space from ovh for $11 a month
AMD EPYC
4 vCores

I have in the past. I had links on various games in their footer.
I also worked on a few games in the past as their lead content manager and helped them develop the game further. I worked on 4 different games and still help games out to till this day with new ideas & concepts.
My goal would be to reach more people; attract a lot of users and get a lot more activity. That’s the only goal I would have in mind.
Growing the forum is the best choice for an ad campaign. I wouldn’t do it other wise. The $5k would sit in the bank for emergency funds instead.
My directory makes it’s attractive. We’ve referred over 500 users to various games in my niche, so it serves as a haven for games that want to grow. I also sticky their topics in our sneak peaks forum. Which is something I also do for regular users.
In fact, a new game opened up a few months...
I don’t think its worth the price as there’s better hosting providers out there that don’t charge $70 a month for hosting.
I wouldn’t pay for it as I’d rather self host my own content on my own server.
The key thing about seo is that it aligns with your content. If your content is good and provides valuable information, the search engines will rank said forum high on the list.
Which is why a lot of forum owners may not focus so much on SEO, but at the same time they are. It’s not so much...
I’m quite passionated about my forum as I originally started it as a directory of games, then morphed it into a community.
I’ve been playing the games in my niche for years and have also helped out on some by being their content manager. Which helped me become an expert of my community. I know...
I’d invest the $5k in a massive advertising campaign that’ll be spent on Reddit ads and facebook ads.
This way, I’ll be able to attract even more users and get more eyes on my forum. I wouldn’t spend it on add ons as I have what I need already. $5k would work wonders, especially since I already...
I have a few game developers on my forum, and honestly, I hadn’t gone out of my way to recruit them, they found their way in through me promoting their games on social media and adding them to my directory.
The best way to bring in any expert is by building a community that’s worth their time...
Which ones? I’m apart of a few fb groups that have over 500k members. They’re doing quite well. You can also utilize facebook groups to promote your page and network.
It’s also nice when you’re able to market your forum on a group.
Google offered a buyout program to its search, ad engineering units and marketing, research and communications teams, according to CNBC. The notice went to employees today as a “voluntary exit program.” The Information reported that the Google offered buyouts to employees in the search and ads...
I also installed Opcache on my server last night. Thank you for the advice bro! I didn’t know about Opcache prior.
I also use Redis along with Cloudflare. Opcache is awesome!
Some directories still work as long as they’re not flooded with spam links. Google is fine with directory as long as they contain good links. The main thing is to vet the directory out prior to adding your link.
