I've used DreamHost VPS for close to 20 years. They've been really good to me,
DreamHost typically managed all my server-side updates. Sometimes I do them, if different things are required. I do all my website/forum updates, but I know what I'm doing there so it's all good. :)
Invision is too expensive for me.
I don't have a big need for each component it offers, and I can't justify spending that money. I'd likely move either to vBulletin or Simple Machines Forum if XenForo ever closed shop.
