Scenario:
You're a forum admin (owner) and a member does something wrong. You warn them about it. They get mad and say "F*** You" but the full word.
What do you do?
Would a response be different in public forum versus private message?
Has this actually ever happened to you before?
Mistakes happen. Sometimes, they're dire and result in a bad outcome such as people boycotting a community.
One mistake that could make that happen is banning someone by mistake.
Have you ever done this? If yes, how did you recover from it? Do you issue a public apology?
If this hasn't...
Have you ever banned a member for whatever reason, and they kept coming back?
People can change IPs, emails, etc. to regain access to a website that has banned them.
People are really good with computing can do it for a while.
Have you ever dealt with this before? Tell us about it. What...
Let's say you have a member who's been a problem member in the past on a few occasions.
Trolling, minor abuse - got warnings but never banned...
If a staff position came open and they wanted it, would you entertain the idea of promoting them to staff?
If yes, how would you justify such as action?
Have you ever had a negative experience with members of your forum who were intoxicated?
Basically members are drunk and causing a scene on the forum.
If this hasn't happened to you - how would you deal with it if it did?
