AdSense is dropping on my blogs

I've been using AdSense on my blogs for a while now.

I feel like it's diminishing to a point of no return.

Sure, I still make money with it. I get paid every month, too. But unless I enabled full page takeover ads (can't stand those), I'll make less and less as I go. And when I have enabled them just to experiment, I still didn't make enough to justify that annoying ad format. It's about as bad as popups used to be in the early 2000s. Remember those?! Yikes.

I suspect AdSense is going down a rabbit hole and not going to be able to get itself out.

Anyone else have any similar information to share? Do you agree AdSense might be more of a waste of time these days?

The number of zero click searches is going to exponentially increase with Generative AI.

I feel like something will have to be done.

AI basically scrapes information for search results. If people can't make money anymore from their content, many will quit. AI needs fresh content to keep providing accurate information.
