Do you have any or have you ever had any members on your forum who always take discussions off-topic?

I must admit, I tend to do this at times, but I try to recognize it and get back on topic when I can.

But some members will do it almost every time they start discussing a topic. How do you respond to this? Do you allow it because it's a discussion? Do you split topics? Do you warn the member to stay on topic?

Has it ever impacted other members such as angered them that their topic was going off-topic?

Honestly, I allow it. I don’t have any issues with members going off topic on a discussion.
I allow it to a certain extent.

I have seen some OPs get irritated though because the topic they posted got way off topic. I do think we owe the OP a chance for their topic to result in the intended result, right?

I think splitting posts might be a good way to please all sides. What do you all think?
