What do you think about forum members who bump old topics?
For those who don't understand, this is when a forum member finds an old discussion that hasn't been replied to in a long time and then replies to it. They'll either add something new to it such as their opinions on the subject or they might even just say "bump" to get it back in the open. Some feel that this is called "necroposting" which is posting in dead discussions. Some forums even go as far and not allowing it.
But people also bump topics that they simply want more members to see. An example of this is in boards where you can share your personal website link. After sharing it, the original poster might reply to their topic in an attempt to get the topic sorted above the rest in that board because they want more people to see it. This is another type of bumping that some forum owners do not agree with.
