Customized or default reactions?

Every forum software have its default reactions of like, love, laugh and so many others but some forum owners like to get creative with such things. They add more reactions to cover different feelings members might have regarding a post.

Do you think it's necessary to add more reactions or stick to using only the default ones?

I like the idea of keeping it simple.

However, you'll notice I replace the heart eyes with just a heart. I feel like the heart eyes is too "I love you" personal where the plain heart seems more like "I love this" rather than pointed at someone. It's just a weird little thing I have in my mind LOL

This definitely feels personalised, you're not wrong. Even on Facebook, it's not available but heart which means exactly what you felt it to be. It's best to keep things a little bit formal before someone starts thinking what was never intended
