Deleting forum content

When I decide to detete a post it is usually hard delete. Whey should I soft delete when I have already made up my mind to delete it.

If you are not the admin of the forum, then taking such a decision might bring issues unless there is an express order from the admin that he or she supports every decision that you make on the forum as a staff member.

Well, I am talking as an Admin. But if you are a staff, the admins also should trust your decisions. If they don't, what is the point of keeping you in staff team?

I usually prefer hard deleting posts too. Soft deletes can leave clutter and reminders of trouble that aren’t needed.

If I need to keep something for reference, I move it to a private board so it’s out of the main community but still accessible.
