It seems like everything I read about making money with a blog - it's Google AdSense this and Google AdSense that!

Do you think people rely too much on earning with AdSense and miss opportunities to earn better ways?

Adsense is a zero headache solution. You set it up and concentrate on your work.
Sometimes it can be a headache.

I had a post with affiliate links. To be transparent, I added a disclaimer about them on the post. Google thought I was telling people to click my ads and I had to appeal it.

I won and they lifted the temporary block but it was a bit of a pain.

Didn't know that. It can funny at times, especially when bots are reviewing. We have seen how inaccurate AI can be.

They can also limit your ads because of what they think was a click fraud.
I think bloggers are too depended on adsense but I do not think there is anything better than adsense
I think they get too dependent on one thing period. If you want to make real money blogging, you have to have multiple income streams.

Yes, you need to use multiple source of income. However, if you are with Adsense using another ad networks might not help you earn better, if you are using Amazon affiliate ads, using another affiliate ads might not bring you better revenue. You need to try something else. I think merch store or dropshipping store can be a better solution

I agree on using multiple income streams.

AdSense can be your ads.

Use other streams that are not ads after that like membership, apps, consulting, etc.

Exactly. It’s also the stepping stone network, which will help you get into other networks in the future.

Especially ad networks like Mediavine.
I do agree that you can enable it and let it do its thing.

It's become a very passive income source for me while I focus on my content.
