Do you allow members or even competitors to link to forums that compete with yours?

Maybe this is in a signature or even linking to a related discussion on another competing forum.

Why do allow it or why do you not allow it?

Yes, I welcome advertisements from all boards, whether they’re similar to mine or not. To me, there’s no such thing as true competition when it comes to forums. Each community has its own unique vibe and purpose, and people are naturally drawn to the ones that feel like the right fit for them. The way I’ve set up my community works for us, but it may not suit everyone - and that’s perfectly fine! Some people might find exactly what they’re looking for here on AAF, and others may discover it elsewhere.

I think it’s great to support this diversity and encourage a network of like-minded spaces where we can share insights, learn from one another, and build connections. After all, that’s what forums are truly about - connecting, sharing, and growing together.

More than competing, I see it as collaboration. No, I don't mind "competing" links.
Collaboration sounds way better than aggressively competing with one another

I take it a step further than that. I allow (and even enter some myself) in my Link Directory listing.
I have no issues with "competition". The purpose of my site is to spread knowledge of the niche. Sometimes that knowledge will be elsewhere and it is to the end users benefit to be able to find it.

And the more competition to me means more people are into the niche which is even better for you!

You own a webmaster community, so can you say you count lol

Well, I know at least one web admin board that did not allow any competitor links posted.
Of course, they are pretty much barely treading water now.

Yep. Ruined to an anesthesiologist and new owner could never bring it back to life.
