Eventually, your forum may grow to a size that requires more resources.

If you're on a shared plan at the moment, you may eventually need to upgrade to a VPS. You might eventually even need to go to a dedicated server.

Upgrading means spending more money.

I pay nearly $200 a month for my VPS.

Do you all have a plan for this need?

I spent less than 40 USD a month for a VPS with 16GB, 5 cPanel accounts, 200GB. What in the world do you have that you're spending 200 USD?

I always had dedicated server. If the sites needed more resources I'd order more ram.

I had a VPS once, don't remember who it was with, and they would shut me down because the site used too many resources or bandwidth.

I use a VPS, hosted by the hosting service I use but it's BIG. I also use another VPS for MySQL and that's big too. I probably pay for more than I need but it's security for me haha
