How often do you hit your hosting service resource limits?

What happens when you do?

I don’t hit any hosting resource limits. I have a pretty strong server.

However, I had this issue along time ago when I was hosting on a shared server.
I definitely used to hit it on shared back when I did that.

But I've been using a VPS for over a decade and like you, it's a strong one. I actually lowered my resources recently to cut some costs because I wasn't using anywhere near the amount I was paying for.

I still haven't hit any resource limits.

Have you been using the same VPS for the past decade? Most providers offer upgraded options by now better specs, better performance overall. Personally, I wouldn’t stick with the exact same server for that long. Tech moves too fast for that. You’ll also probably find a much cheaper option that you’re currently paying with the same provider.

The costs of servers a decade ago were skyhigh compared to now.

Downgrading is always a good idea, especially if you’re not close to even hitting the limits.
