How long does Google Search Console take to index a new site?

There are some factors that speeds up when Google will index a new site you've submitted. Normally, it usually takes a few hours for that to happen but when the site is mobile friendly with proper structure, have a older domain and with existing backlinks, Google tend to index it faster.

I usually see a 1-to-3-month process before you notice anything significant.

I always tell people to work on content for the first year. Don't worry about where you are in search or your marketing level - just focus on content development.

Year 2 is when I start to focus more on marketing and search.

Exactly! It's even the same thing with when someone stumbled upon your new site. If there's not enough contents, they hardly stay but move away. It's why putting so much effort in content creation is very important because it boost your site's credibility.

Content is king when it comes to running forums. You can never go wrong with it especially when you have enough high quality contents in your community.

This is true. Focusing on content is key, however, you’ll need to promote at the same time or your content won’t be seen by anybody.

Great content wins everytime, but without any promotion it won’t go anywhere.

Yeah, that's very correct. The basics are the contents because there's nothing to promote for without having contents visitors would feed on when traffic brings them on board.

Promotion is helpful.

I am earning ad revenue on my cycling tips blog. I promote through SEO practices and X, that's it.

Eventually, I'll start promoting on FB and IG as well.

Promoting on Bluesky would be idea as well. It’s connected to the fediverse, so you’ll be able to obtain backlinks from multiple networks.

There are a lot of sites connected to it, from social media to forums.
