50 isn't bad for me. I used to own hundreds at one time. I try not to let myself get THAT carried away anymore.

It's a bit different when you get domains for $12-150 every/other/day and also make $250-750 quick flips every/other/week with the occasional 4-figure sale off of a $100ish name.

I'm not just hoarding domains. 😅

Well, if you're flipping, I definitely get that.

My problem is that I hoarded them LOL

That can be a good thing.

I hoarded LLLL (Letter, Letter...) and NNNNN (Number, Number...) and let them go too soon, for $50-125/ea. (which was still a 100% ROI). In the Chinese market rush for these, they were going for 4 figures each, even more, if there were no 0s or 4s, and double+ 8s in the NNNNN. I dumped my LLLL/NNNNN before the market popped off, and during the rise, because I didn't understand it and thought the hundreds were the peak. If I held onto them and sold them as a portfolio, it would've been $250,000-$500,000.

I didn't even see the possibility of NNNNNN going for more than 20 bucks, but the same patterns reached $250-500 within a year from hand registration. I could've scooped up 500 of them and offloaded them for $175,000~, but I didn't have the risk tolerance to drop $3500 into an unknown.

I think the most I've spent for a domain name was $100. I had actually planned to flip it one day, but it never happened, and I eventually let it expire.

ROFLMAO was mid-4-figures. 🤫

I'm assuming if I want to drop the -MAO, eventually, it'll be 5, maybe even 6-figures.

The original, RS, was recorded at $1,211, but it was making $20-50/mo with a high month of $94 with parking. So, it made its money back before I shifted to that brand. It's since yet to recover its parking revenue, still adjusting the keywords, sitting around $10/mo since I reparked it.
