How often do you renew your domain name?

My hosting service will allow me to renew my domain name for more than 3 years at a time if I want to.

I usually do every year for forums that I'm not sure will work out or not.

I do three years for forums and sites that I know I want to keep around.

How about you all? Does this matter to you at all?

I usually renew my domain on a yearly basis. I really need to start renewing it for longer periods, like two to three years at a time.

I renew most every year. A couple I renewed for 10 years. Good thing too. When I was sick I would have lost them if I didn't have them set with long renewals. I lost 4 domains during that time.

That's like my worst fear on stuff! That's why I setup automatic payments on a lot of stuff.

I have never renewed my domains for more than one year, I renew my domain just a month before it expires, sometimes I end up renewing during the grace period.
