The more featured and active a platform or software becomes, the less user friendly it becomes. Why? Because people have to learn how to use it to use those features.
No one wants to learn how to use a platform these days. No one has wanted to learn that for a long time, even more social media really took off.
Boring platforms and software are easier to use.
