Do you prefer monthly or annual hosting payments?

Do you get any sort of discount if you pay by the year?

I prefer to pay monthly. I’d rather do that over paying yearly.

As if I ever decide to move hosting providers, I won’t lose any money.

I have tried both. Depends on the use case, both worked for me.

It is always cheaper is you go for an annual plan.

I'd prefer monthly unless a trustworthy host (like Amazon, Vultr, etc.) would do some kind of credit matching for time used (essentially pay for a year by depositing $800 and have them match $800 to use $1600 over the year).
