Are any of you looking at or using forum software that isn't as known but still provides a great community?

I'd love to know more about these platforms if you know of any?

Are there any newer forum software platforms being made these days?

Wolt Lab seems like it's a good deal for the money and I don't think it's well known. Well, it's a German company anyway. It seems to have the lowest price for a premium service, but I don't know if that's a good deal considering the features, as I haven't strongly looked into it.

It's not as well known as the big three but I do remember seeing Woltlab Burning Board quite a bit during the hay days of forums. I feel like I may had even tried it out once but I just can't remember.

I don't think it really matters if a forum software is "well-known" or not, but rather how you customize it to suit the needs of your users.

With that being said, I don't know any less known forum softwares I'd consider using.

The UX is the most important feature!
