Do you think removing the URL field from the comment section reduces real comments?
Many people who are commenting on blog posts are typically also bloggers. Most regular readers are just reading or getting what they need from your post and then leaving it. But you can definitely bet most people who leave comments are blogging as well.
Many bloggers will comment to be able to add their blog link to the comment but some bloggers are removing the link field to reduce spam. My thought it that will also reduce comments from bloggers because they want to get their link out.
What do you think? Would you quit commenting on a blog if they removed that field? Why or why not?
