Running General Forums

To the general forum owners, how difficult is it to run a general forum versus a niche forum, in your opinion?

Myself, I run a general forum and several niche forums. I find the general forum harder because of all the broader topics I need to come up with. I also found it difficult to choose which sections to add and what categories when I initially launched the forum.

It's been a fun and interesting learning experience for sure.

I'd love to hear from other general forum admins about this topic, as well.

At first, I found this difficult.

However, it seems to be growing. I think it's about they type of discussions you post and encourage.

People like posting games and stuff like that, which is easy to reply to, and that's fine.

But controversial or make-you-think posts also tend to do good.
