Back in the old days, when I was into the phpBB2 scene, it was common to see moderators assigned to sections (or boards, nodes, channels, whatever you want to call them).
Instead on a super moderator like we typically have today, one who moderates all sections - the norm back then was a moderator was solely assigned to a specific board.
Do any of you practice that concept at all? I wonder if it could be effective more so than utilizing super moderators.
Maybe make the super mod a community manager and section moderators board leaders. They could ensure those sections remain within the guidelines while also focusing on keeping the section updated with new content.
It would be easier on a volunteer to focus on one section rather than everything.
