Do you think vBulletin is dead as a forum platform?

Although it's still being updated, there isn't a lot of activity on it. There aren't many people making new themes or addons for it, either. It seems like version 6 was a good attempt to bring it back to live, but lately, not even that version is catching too much attention.

Is vBulletin a dead platform?

Yes, it's a dead platform. It is not the same platform it was back in the day and their support team is very slow. If you're using vBulletin now, it's because you want to use it.

It's a choice thing and decision. There isn't too many people around that actually care for vBulletin, it is not a great piece of software anymore.

Sadly, I think you're right.

I had created vBAdmins.com which was actually the first version of TAZ when they were just vBulletin forums only.

I thought maybe a new admin forum just for vBulletin would be a hit for both the staff/developers and vB users. It was not. There isn't a lot of new users of the software.

I was excited about vB6 when I first started using it but I'm not so much anymore.
