Switching hosting services

Have you ever had to switch hosting services and move your forum and its database?

How much of a pain was it? Did you do it yourself?

I have before on AJ. Moving from shared to a VPS. Was pretty straightforward. I also had cloudflare setup, so it was a matter of setting up the files and changing the IP to the server. I think we barely had 5 minutes downtime. Not even that. It was difficult to see whether or not it had changed DNS.
