I'd love to tell you about my 3-C forum strategy.
Running a forum shouldn't be rocket science these days. After you get past the installation and initial setup, it should get a lot easier after that. However, many people struggle with growing forums and that is often the reason they quit.
Instead of quitting, consider following a simple strategy. My 3-C forum strategy is simple enough to follow, too. Best of all, this strategy is free and right below. You don't have to pay for anything, subscribe, or download anything to get it.

Think of content as the King because content will always be King. You need to create content on your forum. The content needs to be high quality and packed with value.
Look at the pain points, challenges, and biggest questions of your target audience. Then create content that gives your audience an easy solution for their biggest pain points, challenges, and questions. Do this every time you create new content on your forum.
You need this sort of content to be able to persuade people to join your forum.
Think of Connection as the Queen who sits beside the King, which is Content. Connection is the relationship you build between you and members of your forum. You do this through high quality and value packed engagement, onboarding, and relationship building.
Engage with your members regularly. If they post a new topic, respond to it with questions or something to keep the discussion going. If they reply to a topic, reply to them and keep the discussion going.
Onboard your new members by welcoming them and starting a conversation in the PM. Build a relationship with them. This is how you can turn a lurker into a loyal member who actively engages with your forum on a daily basis.
You have to not only connect with your members, but you also need to connect members with other members on your forum because friendship is what makes your forum a real community.
If content is King, and connection is Queen, then consistency is the Kingdom that holds it all together.
Consistency means you need to post content and connect with your audience on a routine and familiar basis. It should be every day. You can take breaks here and there, but you should create, connect, and be consistent every single day for the best results.
Being consistent builds trust and loyalty because your members know when and what to expect from you.
