Threatening to delete inactive members

Some forum owners will send out notices to inactive members that their account will be deleted if they don't come back and be active on the forum, again.

A lot of newsletter operators do this as well. It's a way to get subscribers to start opening and reading newsletters again.

But some might think it's the wrong tactic to do.
