Top Sites and Directories

How do you feel about top sites and directories as a way to market your forum?

Over the years it has become well known that link directories and top sites have become less and less relevant.

What's your thoughts about this?

Do you still submit to directories and top sites? Do you only submit to specific ones or all of them?

I still like Topsites and hope we see an increase sometime.

I moved my topsite that was on VisioList (forum-topsite.com) to a custom build script on Administrata.

We’ve got 31 websites at the moment and I hope many more will join. There’s a few updates coming to it soon though. But I’ve been looking for a way to integrate it on the homepage, for example top 3, so people are more inclined to use and climb the ranks.

Anyone is free to join if you haven’t.

No, I couldn’t import anything, so you’ll need to add it again. I’ve been wanting to display the top 3 on the homepage. Because right now, it’s a different page and it gets a bit pushed to the side. If we’d put the top 3 on the homepage, I’m guessing people will definitely want to be in the top 3 and thus serve more purpose.

Just been struggling to find a way how to display it without making the whole page look bad.
