Is there anything you hate about forum software in general?

What do you hate about it and why?

The old linear forum view. Fortunately that is changing. Discourse introduced the new threads first view. Reddit took it to the next level. Now Invision is bringing it to another level.

The future of what we see now will be way different in a few years. It's already happening. Forum software will have to adapt or die. The only people that like the old linear look are the died in the wool old school admins. That group is getting smaller all the time.

These are users who insist that forums are just fine, when the rest of the world has moved on to Reddit, Discord, YouTube and yet they still insist that forum technology is fully appropriate for the modern world.

These are users who insist that forums are just fine, when the rest of the world has moved on to Reddit, Discord, YouTube and yet they still insist that forum technology is fully appropriate for the modern world.

I think forums are an additional benefit, but to rely on them completely isn't very efficient.
