As admin we are always looking for ways to improve our sites. Having a knwledge of PHP helps us tweak or add things that we need to make the forum experience better for our users.

What are the benefits of using PHP? How has PHP helped you build your sites?

I'd love to learn PHP and MySQL more (among other things).

I have great ideas for custom addons that I would use inhouse.

But at this time, I would need to pay for them.

I'd rather be able to make and customize them myself.
