This is an interview between me and Arantor who has been a software developer for Simple Machines Forum and various forks. He has programming experience on other projects, as well. I have known Arantor for many years and am honored to be able to conduct this interview with him. He's not a member of AAF but he agreed to do this interview with me. :) Who are you, and can you share a bit about your background in programming and forum software development? I'm Arantor, currently a developer for a web design agency, and I live in the southeast of the United Kingdom... which is a direct factor in how I came to be where I am! I grew up in the 1980s and we had a computer in the house. I'm not sure you'd call it a computer by today's standards...
The following is an interview with @Mike30 which is the owner of Forum Race. The theme of this interview revolves around running a paid forum community. Thanks again for letting me interview you. I think it turned out great, especially with your personal story. :) Tell us a little about yourself and your background. What inspired you to create a paid membership forum? A little background about me. I was born and raised in Cuba; I came to the USA when I was 18 years old. I started working as a residential painter's helper just a couple of weeks after arriving. A year later, I started my own painting company and later it evolved into a remodeling construction business where I learned all about residential construction. I never touched...

The following interview was conducted by @Shawn Gossman for @Cpvr which is the forum owner of Virtual Pet List Forum about their experience in forum management. I hope you enjoy this interview. I enjoyed doing it because CPVR is someone I have known in the forum world for many years. He's always been a forum owner that I've enjoyed interacting with because he is so friendly and outgoing. 1. Tell us about yourself. Who is CPVR? Take us into a glimpse of your life. I’m a 35-year-old webmaster based in Texas, where I’ve lived for the past 20 years, originally from Massachusetts. I’m a father of one and an uncle to four nieces and four nephews. I started my journey as a webmaster at 14. I’m also the oldest sibling of seven, with three...
