A lot of people use it to network.

It's the #1 most used social media platform for folks on Copyblogger Academy. Those people are making money from it, too.

They do but it’s all about business connections right?

Yeah. For the most part but networking is networking - you can make new friends and connections and invite them to your community.

I guess that's how you define friends.

I have used it to get members on a different forum I used to run. It worked for me. Very niche specific!
