Blog categories are basically sub-topics or the cornerstone topics of your main blogging niche.
You could almost compare theme to boards or nodes on a forum. You'll created content for that category that related to what that category is about.
For example, I'm working on a blog that focuses on membership sites. I have a category for online communities, newsletters, and social media. Those are my cornerstone topics that I will be focusing on with that blog.
I choose that just have three topics on that blog for a few reasons. I want to be able to focus on what I want the blog to be about. Three categories to me are less cluttering than having more.
What categories do you have for your blog? How many categories do you have? Is there such thing as too many blog categories and is there also such thing as too few?
