How do you feel about profanity being used in usernames?

For example, if someone joined your forum with curse words as part of their name such as "Post ****" or something like that. The name isn't exactly meant to be profane but could be seen profane by others. They could use one that is profane against the current president of something like that. Offensive to one side, not the other.

Would you allow this sort of thing? Or would you reject that username from being on the community?

As far as I'm concerned, such kind of usernames should never be allowed to use in forums because even on bigger social media platforms, they're not allowed.

Does anyone know about Fantasy Premier League? I play it and it's not allowed to use any username that's off in any way. Other users will report it and it's taken down immediately if the system didn't fish it out on their own.

I don't allow it, I'll ban the user out right. You don't come into someone's home cussing with a user name.
I agree. I don't find it to be humorous, and I feel like it's only going to result in drama if I allow it to remain.

It's mostly kids and immature persons that's going to find any kind of humour in profanity. It doesn't speak well of any community where its usage is allowed.

I would definitely not allow that.
If they want to express themselves, there are many other ways to do it.
Exactly! They can decide to share their personal contacts, create a group on WhatsApp or any other platforms and continue with their little stunts with profanity.

I also agree with that stance,

There are plenty of places where they can go if they really need to be able to use that sort of language.

Twitter/X is more than enough for them to use any kind of curse words without anyone saying anything. In fact, they will even get more people who are willing to partake in their behaviour.

Plenty of other forums that allow it as well.

They used to have a lot of troll forums that allowed usernames like that.
